| A recut shirt is a shirt that in 99.99% of the times is huge in comparison to your actual body measurments.It is normally too long in the sleeve. It may be large in the armhole and consequently will have to be narrowed in the sleeve width down to the wrist or cuff. The chest, waist and hip area are two large and must be cut to fit your personal body measurements. Another thing that you notice is that the shoulder width or yoke hangs off the side where the sleeve meets the actual shoulder. The cuffs may be too long and have to be made smaller. The shirt length or tail is too long and have to be shorten to your height. The collar is not part of a recut but there is a solution. If they are brand new shirts you can have the collars split to your actual measurements or have white collars made. The recut shirt process is much like making a custom shirt. You have to know the measurements, those measurments are applied to the large shirt to make it as close to custom made as possible. |
